Performance Inventory
What is it?
Performance Inventory Video Tour
The Performance Inventory is a suite of tests that assesses performance constructs necessary for successful job performance. The constructs include Dependability, Customer Service, Sales, Safety, Retention, and Clear Thinking. Each test contains approximately 50 questions. Written at a grade seven reading level, the questions are easy to comprehend.
Our Assessment Solutions may consist of one, two or three Performance Inventory scales. Scales are weighted by their importance to fulfill job performance, which is determined through the Job Modeling Analysis process. For example, an Assessment Solution for a high-volume, entry-level customer service job may use the Customer Service scale weighted 70% and the Dependability scales weighted 70%.
What does it do for employers?
The Performance Inventory serves three primary purposes. First, the Performance Inventory screens out candidates unlikely to deliver good value. Second, the Performance Inventory identifies high-scoring candidates that employers can confidently expect to be star performers. Lastly, the Performance Inventory report suggests behavioral interview questions to assess the traits and behaviors that most contribute to success, and supplement the test score data.
How well does it work?
Over 140 million people have taken the Performance Inventory in all of its versions. Over 240 field studies have been conducted in the retail, grocery, restaurant, manufacturing, transportation, hospitality, healthcare, and other industries. These field studies consistently show the Performance Inventory scales screen out people whose typical behaviors interfere with delivering value to customers and screen in those who create durable, effective and appealing products or services.
What is better about our solution?
Our scales rest on a solid foundation of practice and science arising from the largest body of performance constructs research. All questions within the tests have been checked to eliminate adverse impact. Additionally, the Performance Inventory was designed to make it harder for those trying to ‘fake’ a good score. The Performance Inventory scales is tailored to each situation by PeopleAssessments’ Assessment Solution weighting the scales appropriately into an overall assessment score
