Logic Inventory
What is it?
Logic Inventory Video Tour
The Logic Inventory is a timed test of logical reasoning based on drawings instead of word problems. The Logical Inventory test consists of four, three-minute segments. Each segment contains a set of figures with instructions on selecting a figure to pick.
What does it do for employers?
The Logic Inventory differentiates candidates who learn and grasp solutions to complex problems quickly, reason correctly, and draw accurate conclusions from incomplete sets of data. The logic inventory provides insight into a candidate’s trainability and problem solving skills. Incorporating the Logic Inventory into Assessment Solutions is good way to maximize predictability and reducing potential for adverse impact.
How well does it work?
Everyone is born with a range of abilities unique to him or her. Essentially, these abilities are hard-wired. Over 500 studies conducted in the military, public, and private sectors consistently find mental ability the single best predictor of performance. It captures twenty to seventy percent, depending on whether the job has simple versus complex and dynamic learning requirements, of a candidate’s predictable talent value.
What is better about our solution?
The Logic Inventory is a superior culture-fair measure of thinking ability that adds strong predictive power to assessment solutions created for mentally demanding roles. Some measures of mental ability take an hour or more. The Logic Inventory takes fifteen minutes. Most measures of mental ability rely on culturally loaded words and phrases. The Logic Inventory contains graphical figures, which are universal across cultures, languages, and ethnic groups. We have four parallel iterations of the Logical Inventory to cover situations where online, un-proctored test taking requires an in-person confirmation test prior to hiring.
